WHAT IS ELEVATED PROTECTION?

The main causes of incidents involving powered access equipment continue to be similar year on year. And according to the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF), the top four are falls from the platform, overturns, crushing and electrocutions.

Preventing overturning through sophisticated control and careful structural design has always been central to what we do. In an effort to address the other three causes of accidents, we have developed an innovative suite of safety features. These features have been developed in response to feedback from operators and fleet managers, decades of engineering experience and Aldercote’s hallmark engineering creativity.

HOLD - HARNESS ON LANYARD DETECTION

An innovative harness anchor system that alerts operators if they’re not clipped in,designed to reduce the risk of falls from height. Usage can be recorded, so operator compliance can be monitored if required.

RECOIL - REVERSE CONTROL INPUT LAYOUT

Provides built-in crush protection by automatically reversing direction when contact with a hazard occurs, ensuring intuitive and safe operation at height.

Described by IPAF Head of Safety, Brian Parker as: ‘a significant advancement in the field of crush protection’.

SHIELD - SAFE HEIGHT INSULATED ELECTRICAL DEFENCE

With up to three levels of insulated electrical defence, insulated baskets fitted as standard, chassis isolation for additional protection and fibreglass booms in development for full protection
