Sales Administrator

In order to support it’s effort to become UK’s number one manufacturer of vehicle mounted access platforms, Aldercote is looking for a sales development representative to find and enrich new sales prospects for the sales team to approach. The role will involve searching for companies which might use vehicle mounted access platforms. followed by making direct contact with these companies in order to establish the contacts in that organization for the sales team to approach.

The role will also include providing administrative support for the sales team. Helping to prepare quotes, compile promotional materials, and ensuring that all the necessary administrative steps associated with processing a sale are undertaken accurately and promptly.

The ideal candidate will be confident in using multiple types of software, organized and systematic. They will be comfortable developing their own methods of recording and categorizing information, and they will enjoy collaborating with other members of the sales and marketing team.

Assembly Technician

Aldercote is the leading UK manufacturer of vehicle-mounted access platforms. Our product range has attractive working height and outreach, as well as industry-leading payload and safe working load. We are a proud member of Made in Britain, since not only is all design, engineering and manufacture done in Hull in the East Riding of Yorkshire, but all components are sourced in the UK.

We are currently looking for an experienced assembly technician to join our team in Hull. The role will be to build and install industry leading access platforms onto proprietary vehicles, including mechanical assembly and some basic electrical wiring. Commissioning and testing of the finished vehicle before handing over to the customer.

Working as part of an established team of technicians you will be required to have:

• A working knowledge of Health and safety in a workplace.
• BTEC, C&G or Equivalent in a mechanical / electrical related subject, or you will have 2 years' practical experience in a similar role.
• Experience in mechanical handling and lifting equipment.
• Some basic electrical knowledge.
• Work to tight deadlines whilst still maintaining accuracy and quality.
• Experience using portable power tools.
• Experience of hand tools.

Training will be given where required.

The company offer an attractive salary with 25 days paid leave plus Bank Holidays. Auto enrolment onto the company pension scheme after 3 months.

Service Engineer

Aldercote is looking to recruit a service engineer with extensive experience of hydraulic, mechanical and electrical control systems. The successful applicant will be experienced at servicing electro-hydraulic equipment and have:

• The ability to rapidly diagnose and fix problems in electrical and hydraulic control systems.
• The ability to quickly understand technical diagrams, and the use of electronic diagnostic tools.
• A clean driver’s license and willingness to drive
• Excellent person skills to communicate calmly and efficiently with operators in difficulty.
• The ability to liaise with fleet managers to coordinate planned and un-planned maintenance.
• The capacity to organize their own work schedule.
• Confidence at completing administrative tasks using a smart-phone based application.
• Willingness to travel and work variable and occasionally unsociable hours.

On days when there is no on-site service work, they will be expected to travel to Aldercote’s headquarters in Hull. They will report to the service manager. Their responsibilities will sometimes mean early starts and late finishes, with occasional overnight stays.
