We pride ourselves on our customer service. After all, we are nothing but a good idea without customers! You will always be put through to the correct person for your enquiry. Our technical expertise and experience runs throughout the company from workshop floor to Director-level, since the directors are hands-on for all product development.
Technology constantly progresses, always paving ways to do things better. New manufacturing processes, materials and control technologies often create opportunities for product improvement. We adopt new methods as quickly as they become relevant, and update designs rapidly in response.
Aldercote is a family-run business that puts people first. Everyone is passionate about their role be it to design, manufacture, sell or service our vehicle access platforms. Our multi-disciplinary design team includes expertise in mechanics, hydraulics, mathematics, electronics and composite materials.
Like everyone, we are conscious of the imprint we leave on our planet. We are proud of E-Drive – our self-charging hybrid electric system – now standard in all our vehicles. E-Drive saves 1.5t CO2 emissions each year, compared to a diesel van engine idling, and the battery recharges en-route between tasks, so no time is lost waiting for it to recharge.
People entrust their lives to our platforms so our engineering team ensures that our products will not break. Each platform is tested to 150% overload, and many components have been tested to destruction. We engineer to the max without over engineering and without compromise since besides safety, each gram is sacred, so each gram saved can be used for your operator’s tools and equipment.
We walk the talk. This is reflected by our returning customer loyalty. Our vehicle access platforms deliver high uptime, easy operation and low maintenance. Not to mention our attractive working height and outreach, as well as industry-leading payload. We are with your platform from cradle to grave, and when the vehicle ‘dies’, we can refurbish the platform to the next vehicle, if desired.

Aldercote purchased GRP composite moulding company, Magglo Composites, and began manufacturing fibreglass products.
This year also saw the launch of the 16.5m van mounted platforms.
Marc Paish joined the board as Development Director and shareholder.
We manufactured an insulated boom machine for National Grid.
We took the decision to concentrate on vehicle mounted access platform business.
We decided to make E-Drive – our self-charging hybrid electric battery system – as standard for all our vehicle mounted access platforms ...We don’t believe our environment should be an option!
